Val dislikes funeral

When i reached grandma's yesterday, mom asked me to wear the clothing that the grandchildren should be wearing these five days. This is the 1st time when i dislike a new baju that much. After changing, i went forward to look at grandma for the 1 last time. I saw her lying in the coffin, closing her eyes so tightly and looking very peaceful. She looked as if she was smiling to every1 of us, or is it her face was a bit swollen? I want to believe that she was smiling. I want to belive that she is totally free of all da pain and sorrow now.

Val's dilemma

IF i were just a pharmacist and she was just a normal patient then thing is pretty simple. I see a prob or a condition, i look for a solution, and i act.

BUT i were not just a pharmacist, i am her grand daughter. and she is not JUST a patient, she is my one n only grandma.

There is a very long journey from a prob to a solution if u are a patient's family member. The pt is not just a subject who is receiving a treatment. For u, the pt is not someone wearing green, lying on the bed unresponsive. She is someone who smiled to u and urged u to eat the roasted duck she bought last weekend. She is someone who is always worried bout u even though u are all grown up. She is that someone who u call grandma.

i just hate this.

Val's question of the day!

I hv met lots "miss/cik" thoughout my life. Like my teachers in school, my big boss, my dispensers...I cant help but to find some similarities in them like workaholic, extremely strict, bit restless at times,"ngiao" etc...

So, my question is that, is their marital status due to their personalities, OR they become like this coz they are not married???

If its because of the latter1, i want to get married STAT!hahahahhaha.i dnt12 become like that!

hmm...perhaps its just another "chicken vs egg" question where we will nvr get an exact answer!

val's recent fav book

Sam Bourne is awesome. He will keep u reading n reading once u have started the 1st page. I have finished his The Final Reckoning but i still think that The Righteous Men is the best. Cant wait to pay the bookstore another visit n look for his book=)


Oh ya, he also made me fall in love with history (at least for now =p).
